Team Immunity had a successful WCG tournament in 2011 once again and dominated CS1.6 to take out the national title and represent Australia in Korea.
Here is what they had to say: The Australian World Cyber Games has now come to an end for 2011. Our Counter-Strike 1.6 team have been crowned as the Australian champions (back-to-back 2010-2011) after beating DinQ 2-0 (16-11, 16-2). They will now have the chance to play in South Korea for the World Finals in December this year. FIFA 11 player Mark Azzi placed 2nd after a nail biting match in front of over 500 people and ‘YYJ’ our Starcraft2 Player finished in 7th place after an unlucky run in the bracket. Collectively this weekend our players took home over $10,000 in prizes!
A last minute request from event organisers from Team Immunity to supply GIGABYTE sponsored gaming PC hardware to compete on saved the day to keep the competition running at this year’s World Cyber Games (WCG) Australian National Final.
Congrats guys!
