Tiborrr (Niko) from Slovenia is a veteran AMD overclocker and knows exactly what he wants when he benchmarks his hardware. He replaced his Asus Crosshair 5 with the GIGABYTE 990FXA-UD7 recently and fired up 3DMARK01 and destroyed his previous OC results after “disappointing experience with Asus Crosshair 5”. He also said in his article at OC-Lab that “Gigabyte the plate(motherboard) are simply better than the ASUS Crosshair's the formula” after setting the new 3DMARK01 AMD platform world record with GIGABYTE.
Check out the video he made of the OC session…Congrats on the new platform record Niko!
I also noticed in another thread of his that he broke his PB 32M SuperPi results he held with Asus board by 15 seconds when he swapped to GIGABYTE. More results in this thread. For your reference, his best 3DMARK01 result with Asus Crosshair 5 was 101,344points while he managed to get 114,400 points with GIGABYTE 990FXA-UD7. F3 bios he used with UD7 is the first shipping bios, performance is there from the start, just sayin’ ;-).
Experienced overclockers are uncompromising, it’s ALL ABOUT PERFORMANCE!
