  2. @OBR why do u say this.. its totally fonctionnal and clean interface, theres no need for fancy background or nice icon/menu, it could be a 8bit interface but with mouse compatibility and id be happy with it.

  3. When can we expect to see this on a motherboard?
Touch screen is cool technology but really only practical for cell phones, MP3 players and cash registers.

  7. I'm all for de-mystifying some BIOS settings but this is pretty awful.

  8. Y'all dont get it do ya... The next big step in bios adjustment will be like this on future M/B's .. I for 1 am glad as the bios is the only antiquated part of a PC left Since the BIOS was introduced...
I say good on 'em for starting to make the next step. Almost no 1st edition software for computer control is like we want. I think this one is a great start, and a damn good one at that five yrs from now people will be looking t a pre- GUI bios and say ???Whats that ??? Like windows is to DOS now.

  11. Hi, this new look of BIOS is ok for me, I think it's a good step forward.

However, I understand that for many older and especially experienced users may be hard to get used to it.

I do not know if it's technically possible, but why not add one more icon to TouchBIOSu, where the user are be able to selected SKIN (TouchBIOS or award)?
And maybe also let user to customize it more, for example change the background image?

  13. BIOS is basically a full blown OS now, the only question is how which functions provide value to the end user. I have an HP that will browse the tubes from BIOS.

  14. If this is the final UI of the BIOS I will change the manufacturer after 15 years. This UI is something for kids but has nothing to do with professionality. Perhaps they should have a look at UIs like Android or iPhone to see that such Micky Mouse design can not be sold in european countries. I expect an UEFI Gigabyte board with a professional UI within this year.

  15. Is this suppose to replace BIOS-bootup? If so, Asus' EFI has done something remarkably better and just more efficient becuse CMOS configuration reading in Touch BIOS is kinda slow.
